Johnny began as carpenter in his early life and quickly started his first business building decks and remodeling homes in North Carolina. Johnny later entered the upholstery trade in 1989. Johnny worked at company's such as Bernhardt, Bassett, and other furniture manufacturing companies learning cost saving production techniques and practices. Johnny later went on to work with trade-only furniture makers in both North Carolina and here in NYC crafting custom pieces in concert with home designers and boutique furniture stores.  In 2007, Johnny, with all his experience, opened Johnny's Custom Upholstery Corp. in Valley Stream, NY.
